lyrics

He Was There
By Roz McCommon

Do you remember the time I lost hope?
And every day I was in tears?
Remember when I lost my best friend?
Do you recall when I lost my job?
Remember how I used to cry all night long?
Remember when you used to ask what's wrong?
Then you'd say, God was there

Where was He when my child was hurting
Where was He when the wars broke out?
It seemed that He forgot me
Where was all the blessings?
Then you'd remind me God was there.

In the middle of the flood zone
Through the drought of the farm lands
His love has never left us alone.
We're still in His hands.
Just because He allows us to experience the bad
His mercy outweighs it all and every good thing we've ever had.

It’s when you are weak that God says, “You’re strong.”
He wants you to speak to Him, not just when things go wrong.
When was the last time you gave Him thanks and praise for the good times, for the bad times, for everything in your life?
God is there and His Word will last forever.
